HR Policy Questions

Answer policy questions consistently and protect sensitive ones.

HR Policy Questions keeps your policies, the questions employees ask about them and the answers HR drafts. New questions without a status are set to new, a question marked sensitive is escalated and an HR manager is asked to take it over, and questions still new three days after they arrive are flagged as waiting too long.

What it does not do

The package does not receive questions from chat or email, and it does not send answers. It holds policy summaries, not full documents. The assistant reads records and cannot change them.

Getting started

After installing, these steps take you from example data to your own.

After installation, replace the example policies with your own summaries and set the team timezone used by the waiting flag.
Log each question with its topic and link it to a policy. Mark anything personal or difficult as sensitive.
Draft answers against the question and mark them approved before sending them yourself.
Start the review workflow to ask the read-only assistant to check a draft answer against the policy.

Common questions

Where do sensitive questions go?

When a question is marked sensitive, it is set to escalated to HR and an HR manager is asked to take it over. Keep personal details out of the record.

Does the assistant answer employees?

No. It reads the package tables, cites the rows behind each finding and marks unknowns. The HR team decides the final answer and makes any record changes.
