Inventory and Reorder Points
Reorder stock before it runs out.
Inventory and Reorder Points tracks each stock item by location with its on-hand quantity and reorder point, along with stock counts and reorders. Setting an item to below reorder point marks it Needs reorder and adds a requested reorder, and a count with a large variance is set to recount requested and asks the location manager to recount.

Who it is for
For small warehouses, workshops and shops that track stock in spreadsheets and want reorders to happen on time.
- See stock on hand for every item and location
- Reorder before items run out
- Catch count discrepancies before they become write-offs
What it does not do
The package does not update stock from sales or scanners, and it does not compare on-hand with the reorder point by itself; people set the stock level. It does not place orders with suppliers. The assistant reads records and cannot change them.
Getting started
After installing, these steps take you from example data to your own.
- After installation, replace the example items with your own, with on-hand quantities, reorder points and reorder quantities.
- Record stock counts and set the stock level when on-hand drops to the reorder point. A reorder is added for you.
- Move reorders through ordered and received, and update on-hand when stock arrives.
- Start the review workflow to ask the read-only assistant which items are short and which reorders are open.
Common questions
Does it replace an inventory management system?
No. It suits a few hundred items tracked by hand. It is an independent package, not an integration with any stock system.
Does the assistant place reorders?
No. It reads the package tables, cites the rows behind each finding and marks unknowns. The warehouse manager decides what to order and makes any record changes.
