Legal Matter Intake records each new matter against its client, with its conflict checks and key deadlines. New matters open a pending conflict check, potential conflicts ask the risk partner to waive the conflict or decline the matter, and deadlines still upcoming the morning after their due date are marked missed.

For small law firms and in-house legal teams that want a shared intake list and conflict record instead of email threads.

What it does not do
This is an independent package, not a practice management or docketing system. It does not search other databases for conflicts, calculate court deadlines or send engagement letters, and it connects to no other tools. The assistant reads records, gives no legal advice and cannot change records.
Getting started
After installing, these steps take you from example data to your own.
- After installation, replace the example client and matter with your own and set the team timezone used by the missed-deadline automation.
- Create a matter for each new instruction. A pending conflict check is added for you.
- Record the conflict check result and add every court, filing and client deadline to the matter.
- Start the review workflow to ask the read-only assistant whether a matter is cleared and what is due.
Common questions
Does it warn before a deadline?
No. It flags deadlines the morning after they pass. Add a reminder automation in TulipFarm if you want earlier warnings.
Does the assistant clear conflicts?
No. It reads the package tables, cites the rows behind each finding and marks unknowns. The risk partner decides whether a conflict is cleared and makes any record changes.
