Thank every donor promptly and notice who has stopped giving.
Donor Stewardship keeps each donor, their gifts and the thank-you tasks for those gifts together. Every new gift opens a thank-you task, and active donors are marked lapsed a year after their last recorded gift date.

Who it is for
For small nonprofits and development teams that want consistent donor thank-yous and a simple view of who is giving, without a full donor database.

What it does not do
The package does not send emails or messages for you. It does not process payments, issue tax receipts or update the last gift date for you. The assistant reads records and cannot change them.
Getting started
After installing, these steps take you from example data to your own.
- After installation, replace the example donor and gifts with your own, and set the team timezone used by the lapsed-donor automation.
- Record each gift against its donor. A thank-you task is added for you; choose the channel and due date.
- Keep each donor’s last gift date current so the lapsed flag stays accurate.
- Start the review workflow to ask the read-only assistant about a donor’s history and next stewardship step.
Common questions
Can I change how long before a donor is marked lapsed?
Yes. Edit the offset in the Flag lapsed donors automation in TulipFarm before you enable it.
Does the assistant write to donors?
No. It reads the package tables, cites the rows behind each finding and marks unknowns. The stewardship owner decides what to send and makes any record changes.
