Portfolio Planner
Plan projects and catch slipping work early.
Portfolio Planner organizes cross-team work into portfolios, projects, milestones and tasks, with workload plans and status reports. New tasks start as not started, unfinished tasks and upcoming milestones are flagged the morning after their date, and off-track projects open a status report and ask the owner for a recovery plan.

Portfolio Planner assistant reads your records when you ask, cites the rows it relies on and suggests next steps. It never changes data.
Is it right for you?
Who it is for
For operations, marketing and project teams that plan work outside an engineering tracker. It follows the shape of Asana, monday.com and ClickUp, but it is an independent package, not an integration with those products.
- Plan projects with tasks, milestones and owners across portfolios
- Flag overdue tasks and missed milestones automatically
- Prepare weekly status reports and workload reviews with evidence
What it does not do
There is no Gantt chart, time tracking or dependency scheduling. Workload plans are recorded estimates, not capacity calculations. The assistant cannot reassign or reschedule work.
Getting started
After installing, these steps take you from example data to your own.
- After installation, set up a portfolio and replace the example projects and milestones with your own.
- Add tasks with an owner, due date and project. Tasks created without a status start as not started.
- Keep project status current. Off-track projects open a status report and ask the owner for a recovery plan.
- Start the review workflow to ask the read-only assistant which projects are at risk and why.
Common questions
Does the package reschedule tasks when a milestone slips?
No. It flags missed milestones and overdue tasks so a person can decide what moves. Dates only change when someone edits them.
Can the assistant reassign tasks?
No. It reads the package tables, cites the rows behind each finding and marks unknowns. The project owner decides who does the work and makes any record changes.
